Summary
These young married couples aren’t called Fit and Fab for nothing. Confident, well-educated and employed in private industry. Though not as high-earning as some Metrotechs, they’re on their way, and are optimistic about their future.
Walk with Me
A toast to me — I just got a new job! I’ll be starting at the Harapan Hospital next month. I was doing my internship, but this is a huge step up. My folks back in Medan will be so proud. So will Elly— she was so supportive when I was studying.
Anyway, we’ll be celebrating big-time this weekend. If I don’t get called in at short notice again we’re going to spend some time at the gym, maybe swim and have a good dinner, on Saturday. We can count the calories on Sunday! I’ll take the family shopping in Medan and get ourselves some new clothes.
I wonder whether Elly and I should nip to Batam for a quick holiday before I start? It’ll be ages before I have any leave otherwise. And it’s school break for Elly, she is a kindergarten school teacher at a private school, so I’m pretty sure she can. Lucky for us our little daughter goes to the same school, and the discounted tuition fee helps.
